Natural Home Therapeutic Measures for Acne

Filed under: Natural Home Therapeutic Measures for Acne — admin @ 2:12 pm

Acne is a nuisance and for some, can be quite a problem. If you are tired of trying the tradition medicinal remedies with little results, why not try some natural home therapeutic measures for acne? Because these remedies are natural, they can’t hurt you. Therefore, you really have nothing to lose and everything to gain should some of them work for you in reducing or even getting rid of those pimple acne breakouts.

If you have a little patience, then consider a natural home remedy for your acne breakouts. For many of them, you can look to your kitchen for inspiration. Here are just a few of these natural treatments to try on your pimples:

1. Oatmeal has long been touted for its beneficial qualities. Make some cooked oatmeal and let cool until it reaches a comfortable warm temperature so that you can apply it as a mask onto the affected regions where acne breakouts occur. Do this twice a day for about fifteen to twenty minutes and rinse off. Within a few weeks, you should see a noticeable difference.

2. Aloe Vera is a popular treatment for many ailments and it works great for acne too. You can buy the Aloe Vera gel and spread a thin layer within the zit zone. Leave on for about twenty to thirty minutes and then rinse with water. Use an oil-free moisturizer afterwards as the Aloe Vera tends to dry out skin.

3. Pat lemon juice onto your acne areas; leave on overnight and rinse off in the morning. The juice helps eliminate bacteria and restores pH levels in your skin. You could even cut a lemon slice and rub it on the problem spots.

4. Ground some nutmeg and mix with a little milk into a paste. Apply the paste onto your pimple and let dry. Leave this paste on as long as possible before rinsing. It is best to do before bedtime.

5. One smelly solution is to rub a freshly peeled garlic pod onto your acne breakout areas. Do this at night and wash off in the morning. Oh, don’t cook with that garlic after using it!

6. Take zinc and vitamin B5 supplements every day. This helps your body fight off the bacteria that causes the pimple inflammation.

7. Green tea is an amazing antioxidant that helps your body’s immune system. Drink it or brew it and allow the tea bag to cool. Break open the tea bag and apply the wet green tea leaves to your acne prone areas. Allow to dry and then rinse off with warm water.

8. Lavender is a popular aromatherapy product. It can also be used for acne in its oil form. Apply the oil of lavender directly onto your acne areas.

Not all of these home therapeutic remedies will necessarily work for you. Sometimes, it has to do with your body’s chemistry or even whether you have a specific allergy which might prevent one of these treatments from working. Be prepared for some trial and error.
